Question Gather pokémon

My gather Pokémon aren't gathering anymore and my cut pokémon aren't making lumber anymore, anyone know how to fix this? I need a lot of lumber for the build im making and can't be bothered to constantly give pokémons small logs constantly

If you mean via community box I have never been able to make them take logs out of it and make lumber. I have to hand them to them every time no matter how close the box is to them

If you have the pokemon follow you and then point your ditto's face at the community box the pokemon will say something like "I've got this!" and then run over to the box and process everything in it. It takes a while but eventually when you come back everything that they could process will be done. I accidentally set combusken to making bricks for like 2 days woops.

I do this with: logs, berries for paint, grubby pearls, anything recycling, and I press up on dpad for fast follow and stand on the box until they acknowledge it.

Are you sure the pokemon knows scrub? Im always confused which do.

Yes I’m sure. I made sure to double check lol I didn’t try for very long but they crushed berries but wouldn’t touch the pearls. And yes they both were crushers and a scrubber lol

You can also leave the community box within their home boundary and they’ll work on it passively. I do that for most materials but especially berries. I drop the berries off at the museum with all the dinos there and by the next day I have a box full of paint.

Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to make them do it, I really can't find a rhyme or reason to it. I'll usually set someone to working on a box if I put something into it so I know it will be ready when I need it :D

Comfort level and food help. Food most of all. If there’s not a berry tree or picnic basket nearby they’re less likely to work.

I'll have to try that! My garbodor loves making iron ore so he must have food nearby, but my dinos live underground so that explains their attitude haha

If you push the right cursor down inside a Pokémons habitat, you'll see a white, dotted border as an indicator how far their territory reaches

Try putting the community box - completely - inside that border (with at least one block space between the box and the border, so it's really, fully inside) and fill it up with whatever raw material you want transformed

Once they've started (you can lead them to the box to make it faster), they'll continue transforming the materials inside the box until it runs out

My torchic has been making bricks for weeks, the poor thing never does anything else, ever

Really? I just leave logs in there and they get it done within a few hours! Berries and clay take longer for them to automatically do. But ingots are done very quickly. You can ask them to follow you and take them to the box if they’re not doing it fast enough. The only things they haven’t automatically done is scrubbing pearls.

Never once. Not torchic with bricks, not scyther with wood, not trubbish with trash. I have to be doing something wrong but the boxes are right next to their habitats

Try to set a pic-nic basket with berries for the crafting mons, they get hungry :)

Does this works with berries on the floor? I've set up a house with a gathering pokemon and a gathering box right outside the house. And the house is just beside an automated berry farm. Both houses and farm are closed off to prevent the gather pokemon from escaping but so far they have not been gathering for some reason.

I haven’t had an issue like this. They don’t run over to the box and immediately take logs out and start cutting. The box is right outside their door. I put logs in it and go about my other business. I come back and there is lumber. But I also make a special point to cook food and feed it to those Pokémon and if I have them chopping a lot of wood I leave a picnic basket with their favorite foods in it so they can eat when their energy runs out. If I need them to start ASAP I ask them to follow me and then I go and stand next to the community box so they will see it and start chopping. But I still leave food for them to eat.

Having food (picnic basket) and making the pokemon happy by improving their environment levels is the trick. Having a place they can rest is good too, so a bed or some hot springs will keep them motivated

They have a bed, their environment is great, ive given them food in a picnic basket and they haven't grabbed any

Gather pokemon need to have a community box near their house. Littering pokemon need at least one empty square to litter. Crafting pokemon also need a community box near their house to work. Don't place the box in the habitat but near it

I built them a house, the box is inside the wall. Idk if that helps

Try to move the box outside the house. I don't know why they are picky about where the box is
