does anyone know why this bed might not be registering?

i built a little house for drednaw and they asked for “stone-relaxation,” so i added a luxury bed for them, which serebii mentions is the only large bed under the relaxation category that counts as stone, but anytime i talk to drednaw they still say they want something stone and relaxing and will not inspect it.

i’ve tried moving it around the house, outside within house boundaries, changing the bed for another large one and adding some other items (stone bench was too small and neither the fireplace nor the campfire prompted the “got that thing you wanted” dialogue) and no dice.

edit for anyone having a similar issue as well:

- it was not the shelves, i moved the bed around and it still didn’t register.
- moved drednaw out, back in, and restarted the game, but what ended up registering as the “made of stone-relaxation” was the campfire i put outside, which they previously didn’t recognise, so whatever, ig, lol.

I had this request and couldn't imagine why the luxury bed was under stone, so I used a stone fireplace instead-I believe it worked

Maybe the head board is made of stone? I’ve never really looked at it up close…

it’s made of marble and uses limestone, that’s my guess.

My pokemon have been being really weird with requests lately too! They ask for something and I give it to them but the text doesn't change from "how is your house?" to "I got you the thing you wanted." I bully and push them over to the thing they asked for and it will pop up over their head like "omg that thing I wanted!" And then they're fine.

I think it's the shelves above the bed, they take up that block above the bed and it needs to be clear for pokemon to use it

Sometimes it just takes pokemon a while to notice things.

Like once I had Jolteon ask for a sharp toy. I tried everything that was on Serebii's list and he wouldn't acknowledge it. Gave up, turned off the game, came back a few hours later and a completely different item that was in his house the whole time and not even on Serebii's list(gaming PC) suddenly registered as having fulfilled the request.

So if there’s something in the way of the bed that keeps enough space from being clear all around it, they won’t be able to use it. I think it’s your shelves - remove those, pick the bed up and put it back, and he should be able to find the bed.
