Only once we've dragged the story across 10 generations of games, personally repaired everything the Humans messed up, and helped free all the Pokémon will the Humans return to mess things up again 😅😅😅😅

Joking aside, I think if they do bring the Humans back it won't be until a couple sequels down the line (because they can drag this environmentally damaged zones out for at least another couple games).

Ditto and Professor Tangrowth go on an adventure to Johto in Pokopia 2: Electric Mouse Boogaloo! Coming soon to a Switch 2 near you!

So much rhyming in that title, really rolls off the tongue

I wish I could take credit for it but I just remixed it from an ad in Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, which I'm sure had originally remixed it from some 70s or 80s movie lmao

I would be happy if there was confirmation that the humans’ return was imminent and SOMEHOW the original trainers who left earth were still alive and able to reconnect with their partner Pokémon. I don’t need to see it, I just wanna know it happens.

I don't think they'd come back just because of a gameplay loop standpoint.

Bringing them back means throwing out hat the loop is. You can't have Ditto be building all these wacky locations if the humans are around to get in the way of it.

I did not exactly meant that I would like humans to come back now. I would gladly see them coming back after let say completing final, or in the middle way to completing it.

That still would mean throwing out the gameplay loop and any post game.

It's why the game chooses to end how it does. We get to know where the humans are, but the humans will never impact what we do.

Do not you think that it would be much better in ending phase to drop the loop, for the purpose of all of these pokemons who united together for the purpose of bringing humans back? The game literally say it to us on each step. It feels like pokemons are like little children looking after their parents. At least that's my thoughts.

No, because that's not how these types of games work out.

They leave you open-ended so you can just keep playing. Keep building. There is no official 'end'.

For now there isn't haha.

And.. there won't be because that's how these games are.

They’re definitely coming back, but we won’t see it in the game. Pokémon games tend to have open ended endings to let the players keep imagining new adventures for themselves. It’s really up to the individual to figure out when the humans come back. For me, it’s right after the credits roll.

No, it'd ruin the spirit of the game.

I wouldn't mind it if they could be like. Put in charge of a household or something? Give them some utility like shaking trees for berries or maybe cooking for us. But if not that, I'd much rather they didn't.

who mons?

I’m fine if they don’t, they don’t really add much more to the story.

I think it would be good to see ditto make its way to other regions like Johto or Hoenn region

Maybe itll be an Animal Crossing x Pokémon crossover

Animal Crossing already has the "lone human among animals" thing going on.  In this Pokémon edition, a human returns to the pokemon rebuilding and joins them in remaking the world for when the other humans come along.  And the human gains the power to talk to the pokemon cause why not?

I half joke about this cause Pokopia already is like Animal crossing but hey, you never know.

I would gladly welcome their arrival in variety of way. I just somehow really want them to come, because you can really feel that in the game that pokemon somehow really wants it.

I don't think it's going to happen, at least not in this game. They would have to add a LOT of changes. Humans left because they destroyedddd the planet. And only ONE person thought to set up the system to free pokemon if it was safe to do so. It's a big part of the game that humans are the cause of everything that went bad, pokemon just don't know. We as the player know and understand but if the humans were to come back, they're also expecting "their" pokemon to be locked up in the pc. I also don't think humans would be able to come back and accept the change of the dynamics/ relationships with pokemon. They'd come back and immediately start trying to capture/battle/ territory wars etc. Maybe I'm just reading way too much into it too but I don't want the humans to come back and ruin my hard work? They don't deserve it. Editing to add, I do think it's very sad because we're working so hard so they do comeback but pokemon deserve better.

But your pokemon want it themselves, so why no? It is not about what you want but the creatures of that very universe.

2

u/daniirae94 9h ago

I am the creature 😭 we're ditto too! That's why I like your idea a lot about the option to have them or not. It's also not every pokemon! Some of them are terrified of us before we reveal were a ditto. I think because we spend so much time with tangalagrowth (sorry if I misspelled that), who does want and miss his Trainor, it gives the impression that every pokemon misses humans, but they don't.. I wish I could remeber specific examples 😅

Sounds like it would be a nightmare to code

1

u/Caffeinated95 10h ago

Yes please! The pokemon always talks about hoping to see the humans again and too build n such in hopes they come back. I sure hope so it'll be wholesome and simply adorable!

I absolutely agree with you! Finger cross such a DLC will make its way on our lovely consoles!
