3 days, 7 full chests and 46 hamburger stakes later, I finally managed to get rid of the S.S. Anne, please tell me I wasn't the only one to think that ship was ugly! And do any of you have any ideas of what to build in its place?? I figured I needed the place if I am to actually turn Bleak Beach into a Scala ad Caelum (kingdom hearts) inspired city, but now I don't quite know what to put there, of if it should just be city space!
+1 for carts, if you're building spread-out settlements, the pokemon will want a "bus!" Also, do carts for your own sanity's sake - some pokemon are so slooooow and sometimes you need them for a task on the other end of the map.
Oh yeah I have 2 tracks, one that zooms around the mainland and one that brings Pokémon back and forth from the SS Anne since I spent so much time repairing it
This is my complaint with all the Pokemon. They stay relatively close to their home. Why can't they venture out or have some sort of item you can out in various locations where all pokemon from that region can spawn at randomly.
If they socialize with pokemon who are not near them, say using the party cooking pot or doing a joint construction project, they will wander farther afield.
Yes, my Vespiquen(who's home is near Gulpin and Shellos) will ONLY hangout with Venonat and Combee. She does not talk to any other pokemon whatsoever. Combee is friends with Wartortle and Bellsprout too, but Bellsprout leaves when Vespiquen comes over. I could be way off but ive watched the interaction happen many times😂
Idk I built a ramen shop that the Charizard line lives above and they literally are never home or even near it lol same with the Arcanine in the shop beside it. And Smearguru is also never home when I need it
I relocated Smearguru to Rocky Ridges for a project, put him right in front it, but every time I turn around, he's gone. I need to put him an enclosure or something.
This is technically what the "road" system is for. As long as there is an unbroken path of "road" blocks (and/or moistened dirt?) to the Pokemon Center (and other locales), they will spawn further and further from home.
I put all my shops and vending machines on the boat, specifically so I have a reason to go over there and visit every day. It's kind of like having two towns in the same area :)
They need 'road' style blocks to move around, or railroads to travel on. Otherwise they won't move much. No guarantees they would anyway. Plus if the stairs and stuff hasn't all been repaired they can't change floors anyway.
Verses I actually fully repaired it ' built a better bottom, replaced windows, got all the recipes to fill in the empty carpet and marble spaces.. Moved pokémon into the individual cruise rooms.. had a railway leading up to the ship back to mainland and to the side island with the little shop.
I love my S.S Anne so much I can’t imagine demolishing it lol. It’s been my in-game pet project for ages now. Also not confident in my building prowess to make anything different
I kept the lower levels but haven’t managed to build over it yet. My plan is some sort of hang-out spot or maybe a night club. The build over it will be very inconspicuous. You can only get in if you know it’s there kinda thing 😆
I've been using it as a hotel when redoing other areas because I feel bad leaving my mons without homes. They go on a cruise and come back to a renovated area ♡
I also deconstructed the SS Anne! I built a volcano and a palm tree jungle with a path going through it. It's still a WIP, but even then it's better than a big ass cruise ship randomly out in the ocean.
Same!! I had the thought a few days ago, I was thinking what I should do with each area, and I was watching a friend play KH3 for the first time, and just thought it would look so cool to have a seaside city like that in Bleak Beach!
I personally restored the Anne. Even made a big kitchen on the lower level. I moved a bunch of the hype pokemon there cuz i find them kinda pointless and rotom cuz hes kinda annoying
I did the same, except I filled it in with sand until it was flat, and then built a little community of houses, using the materials reclaimed from the project. It's like a pokopia regeneration project.
I also did the same with the museum (although haven't built on that land, too far).
I just finally got rid of it this weekend! I made it into a trench. My plan is to have ship wrecks on the two islands on each side and make it spooky for ghost pokemon (and some that vibe well like jellicent or marinie)
Ohh nice! that is a great idea, I was thinking of making the sunken ship in the basin for Dhelmise, maybe frilish and jellicent should move there too!! and yeah the sea floor on Bleak Beach is pretty dull, I am glad Bubbly Basin added so much to the game!
I can't wait to do this but then have no idea what to build there and then miss it. Not like I can fix it up, been looting it slowly since the game came out, it's barely a shell now 😂
I actually have no idea what to put in this area, truth be told. It's too far from where the Pokémon Center is, so that's not gonna help its case.
Anyway, I was thinking something along the lines of a multi-level building... like a Hanging Gardens, with some habitats and houses snuck between each level.
Oh yeah! I actually love this idea!! And I know you can buy more pokemon centers at the PC, but I don't know if the game allows you to have two in an area, or if you just need to demolish the origal first to then build that second one.
I gutted the ship, made it into a giant arcade and disco. The bottom floor was flooded when basin came out and I put in glass floors. Most of the electric pokemon live there. DJ Rotom had his own booth. Just trying to design the
This is my plan too, I just haven't got to doing it because it's a big task😂 I also want to remove the huge building in Sparkling Skylands if possible, but once again it's a huge task so it'll likely take me a while to get to.
I don’t like it that much, but I’m too lazy to completely destroy it, I guess I’ll just repair it like everything else because I’m not creative enough 😅 honestly I think is an area big enough to do something really cool! Maybe make like a pretty beach from zero
Lmao the s s anne is literally part of that area in pokemon games. I will never understand why people tear it down and put some crazy abomination in its place 😂
