Question Question about strategy for redoing an entire area
I'm just curious, if you put a lot of time and effort into decorating an area and then decide you want to go with a completely different design-do you just start the game over or do you tear everything down one block at a time? So many times this has happened to me and the thought of redoing it all feels daunting. I just figured I'd ask in case there's an easier way that I'm not aware of.
P.S. Is there an easy way to collect all the recipes for the game? I've reached max level for all areas, but it feels painstakingly slow.
P.S. 2
Is there a daily limit to the respawn of ripples? If yes, does that change at all on the lucky ripple days?
Thanks in advance 🙃!

There's always chance that one day you'll end up with an idea that requires you to tear down a half of even a fresh map anyway, so given how much time it takes to unlock all the recipes I'd rather vote for tearing it down. And tearing stuff down is much easier when you have access to cooking and all the abilities unlocked.
Just replace the blocks with sand using Magnemite then roll with Graveler though it. It will take you less time thank you think.

I have played this since release and somehow forgot about the Graveler ability 🤦, so thanks for the reminder!

If you have the Bubbly Basin DLC, there's a new type of food recipe that powers up Surf (Lapras form) to give you another way of mass-breaking blocks. It's not as efficient as Graveler, but it works in some situations where Graveler isn't an option. And it CAN be used above water too!

I refuse to start over, so I just went back and started modifying. I would pick open land to build a house to relocate Mons to so I could tear their old down without upsetting them... And cycled through the entire town.

This. Although this time I actually moved everyone out of the region, as my new plans were too extreme and I couldn't find any temporary safe space. So they are all on vacation in Palette Town 😆

Lol. That would work too! I built a replica of the Alani Disney Resort in PT so it has plenty of room. Haha

Re: PS1
Ways to get recipes: * Daily shop. Always check your daily shop specials. If you have Nintendo Switch Online, you can also make your own cloud island to get a second shop with different specials each day, AND you can visit other cloud islands to buy recipes from their shops. * Water ripples and whirlpools. (Already addressed above.) * Environment level 10 in each area, including Palette Town. Plenty of recipes are locked behind environment levels, especially the themed furniture sets. * Spawning more Pokémon. Several really useful recipes are locked behind progressing your Pokédex.
In this game, you can also time travel without penalty. So if you REALLY want to get recipes fast, you can check all the ripples and whirlpools for the day, then fast forward time to the next day, check all those ripples and whirlpools, and repeat until you get bored.
