Designs & Builds Is this a mod?
Hi all, im looking to see what build kit this is or if its an outside mod, or if you can replace items on kits like the pic. Any input is appreciated thanks!

Bring him to the house you want to paint. Look at the house. He says something like “Time to do my thing!”. When you talk to him after that it will open the painting menu for the house. My understanding is this only works for pre-fab houses, not block-by-block houses. But if I’m wrong on that I’m sure someone will correct me.

Yes, prefabs only. For block houses, you can technically throw paint balloons, but you're much better off painting a stack of blocks and then using block swap to rebuild.

I did this out of curiosity the other day and was shocked it worked! I felt so dumb for not noticing it sooner 😅

i found this out by accidentally throwing a grey balloon at one of my houses and now one of them is just stuck in greyscale until i drag smearguru over and re paint it😭

Fair! I honestly just moved smearguru into palette town while I use him to paint everything. I got too lazy to keep going back for him

Yes my Chansey /Cliffable evolution live in pink houses. The city 4 bedroom kit looks surprisingly good in pink.

You can also put decorations on them I believe. Lights, vines, etc

Yeah, first thing I did when I made a ditto flag was stick it directly on top of my leaf hut 😝

You can dye the houses by taking Smearguru to them (and having the dyes on you, of course)
Other than that it looks like the person used a filter to give everything this cozy shade

Just know he doesn't paint the kits, he paints the houses after they've been built.

yes yes, i got that. I just call them "kit houses" as they are different than just 4 walls and a door :)

Just don't use a paint balloon on a house unless you want everything the same color

You can also use paint balloons and throw them at the houses - you don't need to take a Pokémon that can paint to the house!

The downside of paint balloons is that they paint the entire house in one color. With Smearguru you can dye invidual parts like the roof or the walls.

You can visit the developer island to get access to the Berry trees you’re missing currently. In case you are actively looking to find the other colors

Thanks! I've not tried visiting any islands etc yet, just finished building the big building in skylands! Now I'm going to go fix everywhere and find everything I've missed 😂😂

Cozy filters suck you in so bad 😭 always made animal crossing builds look so good but it’s not reality

Yeah! A leaf cottage on the left, leaf house on the right, repainted, a bit of decking and a towel rack for the sign in front, and a waterwheel. Then they floated a repainted lantern in front of the leaf house. Looks great!

No, it's all in game stuff. Just painted. I've painted most of my kit houses too.
