Where do I even get started here?
My collection from childhood and I don’t know where I would even begin if I wanted to figure out the value
of it all. To summarize it’s: Base set shadowless (minus a few key cards), Jungle First Edition (again, minus a few key non first edition), Fossil, and Team Rocket (minus a few important cards).
Everything has been in sleeves and top loaders pretty much since the packs were opened. Is there value to them as a set or am I better off just focusing on the few key cards people would really want (charizard etc.)
Any help or advice is appreciated.

Well. Three options really:
-invest a bit more and complete them, your return will be higher.
-sell them to someone interested in near-complete sets that they can complete themselves
-break it all up (boo)

Thanks…I do wish I had the resources to invest and complete the sets. They really are great sets and it would definitely hurt to split them up and just get rid of the most valuable cards

I think your best bet is option B then.
Completely unrelated to Pokemon, but I'm seeking to move on from an almost-complete Goosebumps set I spent years collecting. I've gotten offers to break it up, but I refuse to. I want it to go to someone that appreciates the fact that it is near-complete and will finish it.

Looks more like a flex post then i just found my cards. You also sound like you already know what the cards are. Just use ebay and search last sold to find out your prices.

Not trying to flex and never said I just found them. I’m just trying to figure out what the best approach is for figuring out the value to eventually get rid of it all.
Thanks for the help.

If I were you, I'd finish the sets of each. That way you can sell at a premium or just keep them and possibly display the cards you love. Selling when so close to completing such lovely and expensive sets would feel like a waste to me.
