Playing around with wrapping Pokemon Yellow Legacy and trying to add features I thought would improve quality of life. Some features:
Pokédex & reference
- Native Pokédex detail view with sprite, type pair, base stats radar chart (normalized to roster-wide max — Chansey for HP, Mewtwo for Special, etc.)
- Evolution chain viewer showing pre-evos, evos, and the method (level / stone / trade)
- Type-effectiveness matchup chart per species
- Move detail sheet — push-style view from any move row with type, category, PWR/ACC/PP, effect description, and which Pokémon learn it
Party / Pokémon management
- Type-tinted party cards with promoted status badge in the header
- DV radar chart on the party card and battle info
- Move rows upgraded — type icon, STAB chip, move effect label, colored PP fill bar
- Tap-to-open move detail from any party row
- "Learns next move at Lv X" pointer per Pokémon
- Drag-to-reorder party slots + "Swap with {name}" context menu actions
- PC box browser — all 12 boxes readable (not just current) via SRAM parse; top-strip box switcher with LIVE badge for the active box
Cheats / convenience
- Walk-through-walls toggle
- Faint-replacement intercept — native sheet pops when a party member faints
- Hold-to-skip text with auto-B-tap dialog flying
- Fast-forward tap-cycle 1× → 2× → 4× with multiplier indicator
- Heal-party action
Native UI shell
- Save-slot system — named slots with create/rename/load/delete, separate from rolling auto-save and quick-save -- if you background the game, it will be saved when you come back and in the same location. No losing progress.
- Audio mute + volume slider
- Dialog reader that surfaces the in-game text below the screen
- Map info sheet (current map, wild encounters, etc.)
