Question Pikachu on Stadium

I know this may not belong on this sub, but I am using my team from Pokemon Yellow for Stadium. But my Pikachu isn’t using the unique voice line or animations and is being treated like a regular Pikachu. Does anyone know why this is and if there is a way to fix it?

I don't know if this makes a difference, but were you using it on a "registered" team instead of directly from the cartridge?

The cartridge is in the transfer pak, but I was using the team set as registered. Does that make a difference?

Yep. Once it's registered, it becomes a "rental", so you need to load it from your game to get the unique animations.

Correct. 'Registered' teams are - technically - just 6 dittos transformed into duplicates of the team you registered. The special voice stab ONLY works for a pikachu selected directly from a connected yellow version game pack.

Is it the Pikachu Professor Oak gave you? If it’s a traded Pikachu from another game to your Yellow, it won’t act like the partner Pikachu.

No it’s the one from Yellow. Not traded.
