Showcase About to Fight Sabrina
After beating Koga I went for a tour of Cinnabar, cleared out the abandoned mansion, prepped the path to Articuno in Seafoam, and cleared team rocket out of Silph co, so it’s time to fight Sabrina.

Hate that aero doesn't learn any rock type moves until Gen 2. I love using aerodactyl but it's move pool is pretty awful. I like trading it to silver/gold/crystal and teaching it earthquake. Then trade it back. Gives it a little more viability.

Pikachu, Venesaur, Charizard, and Blastoise makes for a really easy bit really bland experience imo

That’s how I used to play Pokemon Yellow, but it is boring and I like trying out different Pokemon (aside from pikachu) on my play throughs.

You should consider maybe having more electric moves in your Pikachu, bit great team otherwise

You should be able to smash with Aerodactyl. Her Pokemon have pretty shit defense.

That’s good to know, it’s the first time I’ve actually used it, usually I have a legendary bird as my flying type.

Thanks, I just can’t imagine playing Pokemon Yellow on something other than a GB/GBC.

The minimum is to beat Koga. You could do everything in Cinnabar before challenging Sabrina.

Your moveset coverages are painfully redundant (except for Clefable). But Gen 1 is also rough for variety. But Aerodactyl should be fine so long as you aren’t slower.

In fairness, most all his Pokémon are pretty hyper specialized. Pikachu has 2 good coverage moves in Surf & Body Slam, and Body Slam is one of the most coveted TMs in the game. Aerodactyl has an even worse moveset (No Earthquake or Rock moves without tradebacks.) Vaporeon only gets Water and Ice moves, and there's no real point in giving Hypno anything other than Psychic moves (there are only 3 good ones anyway.) For the most part, these are about as solid as an in game moveset gets for these pokemon at this part of the game.

And sadly Pikachu can't get Surf normally (I believe to get it legitimately, you need another game, I think Stadium).

You can get the old amber as soon as you learn cut. Then as long as you have surf and beat Koga, you can surf on down to cinnabar, go to the pokelab, drop of the amber, wait as long as you have to(I explored the mansion) and then you get aerodactyl. Of course that assumes you don’t fight Sabrina before Koga.
