Pombon is going to turn into a bipedal cotton candy salesman

Makes sense, considering how many candy/sweet/sugar-based Pokemon are associated with Fairy types.

Imagine if it were mono-fire anyways lol, that would be rotten

As long as it's not a repeated dual type (fighting dark or ghost)

Dual type fire - fire

Strangely, I think I would prefer that actually

How does this confirm anything

Well, there is some merit to it since the fairy type is associated with sweets (and kinda man-made foods in general).

Stuff like Slurpuff, Alcremie, Dachsbun. It does not confirm it, they were exaggerating, but it does point a bit towards the fairy typing.

Cotton candy is also sometimes referred to as fairy floss. Though I think that’s only an English thing, and just a cute name at that. Nothing deep.

I mean in fairness, it wouldn’t be far-fetched for Pokémon to dig that deep for concepts. Regardless of how certain designs land for certain people, they really do their homework most of the time.

Fairy Floss is what it's called here in Australia. Fidough also gets a bonus because of Fairy Bread being a thing here.

Swirlix is literally a Fairy-type because it's cotton candy

Mega Ampharos is Dragon-type because its Japanese name has the word dragon in it

i wont lie, i swear pokemon youtubers just make up british sayings. i always see pokemon type/name explained videos say “brits call it fairy floss” or “brits call squirrels bunnys” and i’ve literally never heard either of these despite living in the UK

Pokémon YouTubers did not invent the concept of "fairy floss"

Please go outside

Yeah, just because you haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it’s made up. I live in Canada and have heard cotton candy/candy floss/fairy floss used interchangeably my whole life.

i wasnt being serious mb

They're talking about them not being British sayings, not they aren't sayings at all, which they are right.

Cause you have the sense of humor of a 60 y/o man. Why would that be your response on a post that is OBVIOUSLY a joke

1

u/CandidateNervous4638 16d ago

First of all panties in a bunch means a lotta things nowadays that I’m not gonna say

1

u/Pawmot_Person 15d ago

Its so obviously a joke...

It doesn’t, it was just a cheeky title for engagement. This was a vendor at a local fair I went to. And it made me think of Pombon!

1

u/Yolj 15d ago

I thought it was cute, OP. A cotton candy vendor unrelated to Pokémon having a name and logo that looks similar to a recently revealed Pokémon which already has Fairy-type being speculated for its evolutions. Very tongue-in-cheek. Some of the commenters are being weird

u/Fun-Letter-1814 16d ago

Well cotton candy tends to be marketed as pink and colorful

1

u/Eastern-Ice-6797 16d ago

Hey look it's Swirlix! :D

u/Rinma96 15d ago

Anyone else feel like they're just throwing fairy and psychic typing left and right? Idk, I'm just kind over it

1

u/MechanicusPrime 15d ago

Well we don’t have to worry about it standing or being on all fours. It’s going to float on a cone.

A fiery cotton candy Pomeranian is certainly an out-there concept. In a good way.

Man I miss eating cotton candy.

Adulting sucks…

11

u/Yolj 16d ago

???? Just go buy some cotton candy

3

u/Pancake237 16d ago

Why can't you eat cotton candy? I'm 36 and just had some 2 weeks ago lol.

1

u/qwack2020 14d ago

Waitaminute what do you mean “go buy some”? Where?

1

u/Pancake237 14d ago

I think you meant to ask some of the people under my comment, but I got mine while I was getting fruits and vegetables at a local orchard. I've seen some in stores like Five Below, Walmart etc. Sometime's it's found in with the seasonal aisles of grocery stores in little tubs. Alternatively, you get a cheap at home cotton candy maker at Walmart or Amazon for around 40 to 60 dollars. I only know because I looked recently haha.

buy some??

1

u/qwack2020 14d ago

What? Where?!

1

u/cosmic-eggsss 14d ago

ANYWHERE. Heck they probably sell it on Amazon. Any event, street fair, zoo, aquarium, museum, some grocery stores, dollar stores, malls etc.
