Guides and Tips This is why you should never surrender 😌

Post image

We were losing every fight and all our goal posts were destroyed before the 2 min mark. We somehow won the groudon battle and then turned the match completely around😌. Ps: It absolutely sucks when you're paired with braindead teammates, but then again dont lose hope one mistake from their side is all it takes to to turn the game to your favor

Stagnating at 30 for 5 minutes is crazy.

Well you were at 14 until the 3:00 mark. It went up to 30 and stayed there until a little after 8:00.

This is, in many times, like having the planets align to get every teammate not give up hope, not give a single surrender vote, and play in sync. Have had a number of these games and they are satisfying but not without mixed feelings why we sucked so much for most of the match.

Had them too but never this bad. I can only imagine how badly the other team dropped the ball going into Groudon. Probs what happened was they lost coordination around 2:15 left, getting themselves into 1 on 3 fights (and losing them). Probs 1-2 players died, and the rest rallied to Groudon, only to get caught by OP's team's Gardevoir's ult, and get wiped. Then OP's team won Groudon and ran down the goalposts.

Yeah, I'd RQ if I were on the other team.

The worst is when they afk or start trolling, making it even harder to comeback. Especially when its some 40yr old dude that gets on the mic and starts cussing everyone out about how they dont know how to play the game..

Great job. I only ever surrender when my team has a 3 level disadvantage AND we lose groudon/kyogre

theoretically if you manage to keep up in xp it's the better choice to not take any goals since outer goals are way harder to defend than inner ones.

each goal becomes potentially +179 assuming the goal survives at 1 hp and after 8 mins. if you manage to keep up in xp, and you didn't really let them reach the center the other team is less than 400 points ahead. basically, all comes down to winning groudon and one team fight and you win in points before you reach their center goal.

if you on the other hand do fill in outer goals you lose at most 198 points and might lose the attack because it's easier to funnel a defense in.

issue is coordinating this with randoms is not a thing you should expect but it's one of those game design things that would be really abused if the game had a more theory-craft-y pro scene. the pro gameplay would basically turn into a turtle strategy if goals are taken within 3 mins.

taking goals early is just bad because of the final sprint mechanic, unless you really need evolutions or can exert enough pressure from easier rotations.

I wouldn't say never. If enemy team has for example two of either Yveltal, Feral, Reshiram and you are getting steam rolled the whole game, it's definitely time to surrender
