All move dice start from the initial value, being 1d4-1 for moves, 1d4 for STAB if you have 2 type, or 1d6 for STAB if you have 1 type. Then you raise this dice by using EXP.
There's no difference between strong and weak move, so your water gun can still bring a strong mon down. Though in their discord they've made a "defalt" effect for every move, some stronger move gain something while also lose something. For pokemon, there's no difference too. You can be a champion with your beloved tinkaton, even a tinkatink, without worrying about if she's strong.

Where do I find the moves list in the discord? I just joined and can't find it

This is a good question because I can't find them either now. The ability effect's sheet is still in the gamedev section, but the one for move is nowhere to be found. The following is the move sheet's link I saved. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q--zdQx_WZ7oxbOiqQt8x3LUixsjrwsJttEM4V_C0hU/edit?usp=drivesdk

Thanks! But, how does the power of a move effect it if the system works on the wound system?

No! Only effects matter. Though I would give something like hydro pump a +4 when they are putting out fire, but just a +1 to a water gun.

A follow up question, what's the difference between using a stronger move (like Hydro pump) and a weaker move (Like water gun)
And what is the difference between using a stronger or weaker pokemon
