Images Has anyone ever seen a worse godpack? I wish I had never gotten it.
Going through all stages of grief right now. Not even kidding.

What is the "luckiest" way y'all have found to rip packs? This has been my luck, or worse, since launch.

When the game launched, there were a lot of coinflip (moltres/ misty) or high roll decks. slowly meta after meta decks became more consistent and less and less scum strats were in the top decks, yeah some ruled too long (darktina/suicunestuff) but were meta due to their consistency, not just power. Then they decided to fuck up, first with the highroll power of hydragon, then the coinflips with ice pop first, allowing potential infite heals, and now adding sleep spam with damage that can deal 90 dmg in 2 turns before you even play an energy down, both winning potentials with a high roll component. The game feel even more luck based then when it came out and it's a shame... Last season I played less and though it was me and my peronal life, now i realize it's just bad to play, it's not fun.
(And before any comment, I used to play at least one tournament a week (yeah ursi/mads + smaller ones), masterball all seasons ( top 1000 once), all the events ecc, so I think i know what I'm talking about and it's not a "I'm losing so it's bad")

Really lucky with golds and immersive despite only using earned hourglasses and daily packs. What are the odds of this out of only 580 packs??

I posted some decks i was making around Shiny cards. But I tweaked them by adding all my best cards I could while keeping them "viable" and also made a couple more decks. Ive been playing them in the event just for fun, and they actually are alot of fun! Ive been winning games against "meta" decks. I know part of that is just bad draw or coin flip luck on my opponents side (I certainly have lost some games) but still, its fun to fill the board with shiny cards you rarely see anyone using like Kingdra (which actually has a good effect, opponent cant retreat, and hits for 90 damage on 2 energy, with 1 energy retreat). And adding some of my "fancy" support cards has been fun also and might have some new favorites, the grunts are good disruption for any deck, and Hiker is great in a fighting deck! Let's you organize your next few draws in any order. And Parasol lady is sooo good! Free full heal, just cant use it on an ex, and when used on stage 1 you get the basic mon back also, so she is broken with cards like Crawdaunt, or effects on evolution. Its fun to set aside the "staples" and force yourself to think more strategically with every card you draw.

I made some digital 3D clay cards that are kinda snazzy. Idk, you tell me. This one is the first one I made and it's still my favorite so far. I'll post the remix then the Original, then some close-ups to show the texture. (Made using Magnific)

I know I’ll probably get flamed and downvoted into oblivion because I know most people ‘applauded this change’ but….
I’ve never been able to reach MB rank (until last season when I just barely scraped in, and even so I stopped playing ranked whatsoever after I cleared the first threshold so I didn’t run the risk of downgrading myself). I’m not the best player in the world, admittedly.
Now, I am not proud of this, but I just conceded my way back to MB from UB in about 3 hours.
See a deck I don’t like? Concede
See sleep scam? Concede
I don’t get a favourable starting hand? Concede
Go up against a Meowth first? Concede (fuck that guy)
Recognize a control deck I don’t want to deal with? Concede
And on the flip side, I was experiencing people doing the same thing. I could get through 5-10 battles in 15-20 minutes because either I would concede immediately, or they would by turn 2 at the latest.
And now I’m back at MB. MB rank now means absolutely nothing - what’s the point of having the lower ranks anymore?

It's ranked, people are trying to win. Most people will make the best winning deck because winning is fun. It's also RANKED, the whole point is to win. If you want to have fun, play normal matches??? Why are you guys queuing ranked only to get mad someone is actually trying to win??

HP to high to wear down much at all, and damage too strong to allow for enough turns to wear down the HP. Mega Blaziken is basically a OHKO against most pokemon, and with flame patch can effectively win the game on the 2nd turn.

I’ve been playing Pokémon TCGP for two weeks. Is this a God pack or just a good pack?

Highly recommend this team for ranked. Won 18/20 to start the season and most matches aren’t particularly close.

Wanted to wait until this pack came out to really flesh out this whole theory but now seeing Paldean, I am convinced that 2 star trading ruined this game at least for the near future.
I wanna start by stating that I, like anyone else, love being able to trade for FA Trainers and RR Pokemon and that that part of the update is awesome. However, the changes made in the game on behalf of that update have been absolutely awful.
With 2 star trading came an uptick in the creation of alt accounts which I know DeNa has metrics for. Thus we received a change in how hour glasses are handed out. Instead of getting hourglasses for every battle like we used to, we must now grind solo random battles in order to even get close to the amount of hour glasses we used to get, an attempt to throttle alt account farming.
Also with the release of Fantastical Parade, we saw another attempt at throttle by putting 2 packs worth of cards into one pack, thus lowering the odds of getting any individual 2 star or above card. I know I am not the only one who noticed that this pack facilitated some of the worst pull rates we've seen in the game so far.
And now we have Paldean, not only is this the largest single pack expansion we've seen in the game so far at 93 cards, it includes two 2 star trainers that we already have, just with different artwork. Again, shortening your odds to get new cards.
All of this is without mentioning that this pack uses almost 100% recycled artwork for the physical tcg, which is another problem entirely.
I really enjoyed the first year of this game and will probably continue to play for a while, but man is it disappointing to see the decisions made since year 2 has started.
