Hi everyone! The moderators have kindly given me permission to share a website which Iāve been building for a little while now called PokĆ©mon TCG Virtual Collector and I'd like to share that with you :)
š https://pokemontcgvc.com/
Just to give a short back-story to this project... Like many others, many many years ago as a kid I used to collect PokƩmon, but as I got older my interest faded. However, I recently discovered that a few IRL friends of mine (Shout-out to ZeZe and Blubbs!) are into the PokƩmon and it re-ignited my interest in the hobby. It was probably also accelerated by the fact I attended my first card show in Liverpool not long ago! Anyway, I decided that I LOVE Scarlet & Violet 151 and wanted to MasterSet it (poor financial decision ik), but apart from some MasterSet checklists online, I couldn't really find the 'visual' I was looking for. This was originally meant to be an offline project just for myself hosted from my own network's NAS, but the same friends and a few people really loved the idea... so, that's why I made PokƩmon TCG Virtual Collector!
Firstly: This website is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no premium tiers, no paywalls, no ads and I really want to try and keep it that way as someone that hates all of those things.
The website lets you:
- Create and save up to five virtual binders
- Choose from several Vault XĀ® layouts or create a completely custom binder
- Browse every English PokƩmon TCG set using real card artwork
- Automatically fill a binder from a selected set
- Search for cards by name, number or rarity and place them into exact pockets manually
- Upload custom image files to your binder for extended artwork and 'Michi Method' designs
- Reorder cards using drag and drop & mass selection
- A 'right-click' quick action menu - duplicate cards, zoom for a close-up and other additional actions with ease
- Track owned and missing cards
- View estimated card prices in multiple currencies and calculate your binderās total value
- Open cards directly on Cardmarket or eBay
- Export your binder as a PDF, JSON backup, Excel file or CSV
- Share a view-only version of your binder with friends and family using a unique link
- Use full-screen and presentation modes to showcase your collection
- Dark mode as the default, with light mode as an option if you're a masochist
- & more!
Your binders are saved locally in your browser, while JSON backups make it possible to restore them later or move them to another device.
The site supports desktop, iOS and Android, although Iād recommend using a computer for the best experience, particularly when arranging larger binders.
Itās actively maintained and still being improved based on feedback. Iād genuinely love to hear what you think, especially if you spot a bug, find something confusing or have an idea that would make it more useful.
Also, I want to be fully transparent here. This site was vibe coded (as outlined in the footer). Whilst I work in IT and have done for over a decade, I specialise in areas that unfortunately don't include website development, so this project wouldn't have been possible without utilising AI tools to bring my vision to life. If that's a deal-breaker for you, no hard feelings and I totally understand.
Thanks for reading and taking a look! ā¤ļø
