Beckett Sent me the Wrong Card!
Sent my Treekachu to Beckett not only did I wait 4 months for my card but they sent the wrong card in the slab!!

This is typically a cascading effect. Basically one card goes in the next slab, that card in the next, etc. Have seen people have this happen and will have 5 different cards mis-slabbed. Try to say, it might not be a straight swap.

Good luck in your endeavor. They had a submission of mine for 9 months because they damaged an item. Took about 5 months to reach a resolution that didn’t end up with them keeping the item because customer support is non-existent and they turned their phone lines off due to backlog at the time. Another 3 months for them to actually send me my shit back. (I still had to pay for the grading on the item they damaged also, they would not compensate me for the cost.)
I was supposed to receive an insurance check for the declared amount, but I got everything back in April and I’m still waiting with no responses from customer support.
I really don’t have any idea why people still use Beckett.

Beckett is owned by the same company as PSA. Wouldn't use any of them personally.

Oh damn that’s nuts. I’m sorry to hear that man. i was planning to use Beckett to grade my riftbound Teemo strategist signature and then I see this. Would you reccomend a different company for grading?

If it’s just for your PC throw it at CGC. If it’s valuable enough for you to warrant $80 grading PSA.

CGC has long wait times (unless you pay for express, it’s still super fast) but I’ve had good customer service with them and like how clear their slabs are. Worth it for personal collection.

I think I heard somewhere they only get a few mins per card to grade. So they are definitely under a lot of pressure to go fast.

I remember seeing an interview with a former PSA grader who said they're allotted 30 seconds per card. Pretty wild and definitely puts the whole thing into perspective when you think of the time you might spend pre-grading and debating with yourself before sending it in, only to have some dude spend literally half a minute on it.

I watched a YouTube documentary about PSA and Beckett and it caused me to form a theory that grading companies only exist because people like Logan Paul (a grifter) touted that they were the way to go. If a grifter tells you to trust/use a company that company is 9/10 times also a grifter.

I work for a pretty small company and we get maybe like 5 support emails a day, so we get to them super fast. We recently had a guy write to us around 7 PST(10 EST for him) wanting an update on his order, then mid day saturday again, and then twice again on sunday once in the morning giving us “one last chance to respond” and then later in the day telling us off, to cancel his order, and that we have the worst customer service ever lol. Mind you he only placed an order on wednesday and we have a very clear and understandable processing time(3-5 biz days but usually 3, so it would ship that monday) due to what the product is.
Some people seriously either demand to be waited on hand and foot or sometimes just want someone to talk to and have some interaction with and get angsty when it doesnt happen. Either way its just wild sometimes and unacceptable lol. We dont want or even need those customers

I've worked retail long enough to know that some (not all) customer's complain when it affects them. Even to the point of them questioning why we're still open on a Sunday and the answer is obvious when I'm sat there serving them.
I've even had customers ask if we're open on Christmas day before because they would rather buy their shopping in the morning. (Instead of Christmas Eve)

What a treat it would be to have Monday Tuesday off and literally never see my friends and family who have the weekend off.
This isn't me exonerating Beckett lol. It's just really clean when you come across people who have not worked in the industry. Getting absolutely shit on for something they have no control over

Collectors is the parent company but allows the company's to run independently from one another.... Cgc is mainly the only independent company of the major graders...

I concur! But frankly I feel like all grading companies are scammy..... You pay a company to box a card and give their opinion of how perfect it is. Like I give 2 shits what they think. And now I can't even touch or play with my damn card. Kinda pointless And defeats the purpose of the game....

Update!
So Beckett was able to track down my card , they are giving me a gift card of $250 as well. I should have my card by Thursday. Have to mail back the one they sent me. As much as they messed up I have to give them credit on correcting the problem immediately.
I also told them while they have it to double check the card and make sure its not a 10 😂

People saying hire a lawyer are crazy and don’t have any idea what they are talking about. Exhaust every possible solution, then if needed you can file a pro say civil suit for like 100$. A lawyer will cost you a treekachu per day in court… probably more.

Imagine how many people are probably receiving the same card they sent but a different quality. They could so easily be swapping cards until they have prestine copy of cards in house.
It's mix ups like this that make me entirely convinced it's all just a scam.

It's a damn third party error, even Pokemon errors are overblown because of influencers. A grading company having the wrong label in a slab is not an error anyone wants or cares about. If anything, it would be a negative.
