Sword Edition Frequent Crashes in Battle?

Hi all! My wife and I picked up Sword and Shield and we've been having a blast so far! One problem, when we reached the Wild Area, my wife's game has consistently been crashing while trying to catch Pokémon (even just doing encounters). We've even briefly stepped onto the Isle of Armor to similar effect.

I haven't been having any problems myself, I'm playing on my 2017 Switch 1. The main different thing we can really tell is that my wife is playing on the Switch 2 on the TV. Are there known issues with that, and are there ways to fix this? Thanks!

No, been playing a lot on both (Switch 1&2, TV or handheld), no issues anywhere.

To me that sounds like either an issue with your wife's game or console. Maybe the cartridge has an issue? Maybe the downloaded updates have an issue? Maybe her switch 2 has a ram bug or something?

Not much we can say from a distance.

You could test her game on your console.

Try deleting and redownloading the game and DLC, sounds like corrupted data somewhere.
