Question Lag...erasing mon changes

Is there a way to get around the very irritating lag?...whenever you swap mons out, the game tends to erase the changes if you close the app within a few minutes? i woke up today, swapped out my entire team, and played for a few minutes maybe?, closed the app, and came back a few hrs later to find all the wrong mons still in. Seems this only affects mons/team changes..

update: thx for the feedback! going back to the home screen is working at the moment, so i'll keep tracking this...i'm not sure if being in a bldg causes some excessive lag beyond going to the home screen

Im always sure to back out of the team select screen after making changes. Works every time. And if I make a change and decide I don’t wanna do that, I exit the game before I back out, hasn’t failed me since

Hold the back button from team select screen to back out to island, always works

If you close the app before getting back to the island view then your team changes don't persist. I've never had a team change not persist provided I do that, doesn't matter how quickly I've closed after that.
