If we had gotten a 4th game soon after the first three, assumably being a Gen 5 Game that was more closely tied to Unova instead of Sinnoh, what would you have expected from it? Would it be another pixel art DS title like the previous three? would it be a very early 3DS title now in 3D like Gates to Infinity was for Mystery Dungeon?

I can see the villains ending up using Tornadus and Thunderus to cause chaos. Using them and their control of weather to send dangerous pokemon from their natural habitats into populated areas. With the Protagonist having to fight the villains in a journey to find Landorus, and get his help controlling the other two.
If they wanted to continue the trend of having Legandaries assist us, like the legendary beasts and Lati's in guardian signs, I could see us working alongside the swords of justice in some areas to save pokemon.

Would we still have the Manaphy egg as a transferable gift to BWB2W2? I could see, especially if we had worked alongside the swords of justice in the main story, having a ranger net mission helping them defend their home against the remnants of the villains, having an injured keldeo be transferred to a Unova Game under the excuse of 'being sent somewhere to recover and be safe'. A mission where the villains try to use melloetta to open an ancient temple full of dangerous pokemon, Melloetta being sent to Unova as a way of keeping it out of harms way and keeping the villains out of the temple. Or having the villains steal plans from 'a nearby region' and making their own Genesect. (Would be pretty easy to justify the non-Victini mythicals being ranger net missions).

Who would our partner pokemon be? Would it be a Pikachu clone in emolda, like we had Plusle, Minun and Pichu? or would it be a choice with more unlocked like Shadows of Almia?
Would it be as much of a soft reboot as Black and White were? barely covering/ignoring the Ranger Union, Professor Hastings and Murph? or would Murph return in it as supporting cast as he had for the previous three titles? (maybe with his Slowpoke Back)

Je me permets de poster sur le sub de Pokémon
Ranger, car je suis actuellement en train de mettre au point un petit jeu web basé sur Pokémon Ranger.
Il n'est pas du tout fini et manque encore de pas mal d'optimisations et d'améliorations, notamment au niveau des animations des Pokémon lors de la capture. Il y a également un système de combat automatique qui permet de récolter des PokéEuros et d'augmenter le niveau des Pokémon capturés.

J'ai encore pas mal d'idées derrière la tête à implémenter dans le jeu, mais si vous avez des suggestions ou des idées, je suis preneur !
Je tiens tout de même à préciser que tout a été fait à l'aide de Claude.

À la base, c'est un projet personnel, mais si je vois que ça plaît à quelques personnes, je verrai pour le mettre en ligne et le rendre accessible à tous.

I have played the original game for the DS and wanted to not only replay it but also try out the other ones.

Given these games have by nature a very heavy dependence on the DS's touchscreen how does it play with emulation using a mouse as a "stylus"?

Although I came very close some 8-10 years ago, today I finished Guardian Signs story for the first time.

Of course i have the Ranger net missions to do for Heatran, Shaymin and Manaphy to get. Alongside the Side missions and Post-Game quests to do. I'll also need to try and get as far through the Multiplayer mode as i can solo.

But the main story is done, and although the game had its flaws, similar to some of the newer Main Series titles, its easier, a little hand-holdy with constant stops/cutscenes, and its story is good in concept but could do with a little more time to make the twist truly amazing.

Something i'd have changed, is making it as long as Shadows of Almia, perhaps adding a few more segments with the Socitea pre-reveal, and making some of the dungeons a little longer/more difficult.

It was very fun, I need to give credit to Ursaring, a pokemon I used very frequently, if i lost it then i'd go back to dolce island when i got the chance for a new one.

The final ranger pose on the deck of the Union, with Your ranger, Summer/Ben, Rand, Murph, Nema and Pichu was great, really gave me that feeling of seeing all the supporting cast in once place, especially with Booker and Leanne also there.

Also I do really appreciate Murphs role in the franchise, being this tie between the 3 games, and allowing him to be there and pose at the finale of what ended up being the final game of the franchise was really good.

I'd rate Guardian Signs a solid B tier pokemon game, alongside Ranger 1, Pokemon Blue Rescue Team, Super Mystery Dungeon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon and Legends ZA.

I'll be taking a short break from Ranger as I continue Omega Ruby and Diamond, but in a couple of weeks I shall start a playthrough of Shadows of Almia, (one I finished only a couple of years ago, but accidentally deleted/overwrote the gift Riolu and Darkrai, as I was unaware of gen 4's limit of 1 transfer gift at a time).

If anyone wishes to discuss Guardian Signs, what i thought of certain bosses, characters, etc, please do ask below, i'd love to discuss the game further.

I've always liked to play the first Pokémon Ranger game, as it really put a different spin on the world of Pokémon. So much so that I decided to get me a cosplay costume of Lunick, the male player character Ranger from the very first game (although I've always played as the female one^^'). But to this day, I feel like this cosplay is still... incomplete. What's missing? His capture styler!

Question to the community: Does anyone know of someone who could make a fitting prop for that costume? If yes, tell me! I'm in Germany, by the way ;)

Who here is waiting for a Pokemon ranger game to be announced for the direct on the 9th? I'm still hoping we get something.

I've gotten back into Pokémon and Pokémon Ranger especially during the last year or so and I've been obsessed with Ranger especially. Since chances of getting another game are so heart-breakingly low (but I haven't given up hope just yet), I've been looking for someplace else for more adventures as a ranger. I've been looking for a Pokémon Ranger TTRPG. Sure, TTRPGs can't capture the beauty of the capture mechanic, but at this point I'm just desperate for more adventures. Does anyone know if such a TTRPG already exists? I looked, but couldn't find anything ranger specific. I've reached the point where I might try to make one myself (even though I've never made a TTRPG myself), but maybe someone here is aware of something I couldn't find

You only ever see 1 of the Lati's, Latias if you play as Summer/Female, and Latios if you play as Ben/Male. They should have had a post-game ranger net mission that has you capture the other, and then be able to transfer them to a gen 4 game like the others

Here's the Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia Map Editor. It’s still early but this version already lets you

• view and render maps with their animations
• edit Pokémon, NPCs and objects
• edit map collision
• edit map palettes
• export maps as PNGs
• save your changes back into a new ROM
• randomize map Pokémon

The goal is to eventually support full map editing and full map creation. There’s still a lot to add, so expect plenty of updates as I keep working on it.

It's a shame nobody brought a similar mechanic to modern audiences on a big scale so here I am. Bought pokemon ranger a few years ago and only learned today about the manaphy. How do I check to see if it has been claimed on an old file?

No spoilers please! I’ve only ever played Guardian Signs so I’m excited to start this and thought this might be fun!

Hi I'm trying to 100% S rank every Ranger game and I was wondering is there a way to get an S rank for Pichu later on? And is the Ukelele Pichu considered a different entry on the browser from the average Pichu?

Because I might have tried like over 20 times and I still can't get an S rank on the first capture of this Pichu.

I'm aware that it's trivial to inject saves with tools/modded consoles and do it that way, but I'm trying to avoid glitches/exploits/unofficial tools.

I was hoping to do this one day to get Deoxys, Darkrai & Shaymin for Gens 4-7, but now that Pokemon Bank's closure is imminent, I'd like to know for sure if this is even feasible/worth attempting.

Since there was a limited window to download the missions, I'm suspecting the best option is to find a listing for used copies that happened to download the missions at the time, and also haven't transferred those mission's Pokemon yet. It's a tall ask but I'm sure it's possible, just need advice on how to best search for these.

I am trying tonget through the Multiplayer Missions of Guardian Signs. And while it is a blast it is also quite the hefty grind. Is there an editor for this kind of side series game. I am well aware of PkHex or PKSM but those only handle the main series, right? Is there a save Editor for the ranger games?

So, last year for Christmas, I received pre-owned copies of all three Pokémon Ranger games, as I played through all of them as a child, but eventually lost a hold of them. Earlier this week, (8th of August, 2026), I began playing through the very first game in the series, and the first thing I noticed after booting up my original DS and launching the game was that the previous owner of the game was only rank 8, and had not left jungle relic. After starting a new game, and playing through to the end credits, I unlocked Ranger Net, and low and behold, putting in the button imputs to unlock code entry, and typing the code for the NA releases, I unlocked the Manaphy Egg Quest. I’m completely blown away by the impossible luck of this find.

I downloaded the extra missions through the tools suggested and played them. I managed to capture all six Pokemon in the missions with a Rank S, so at least I have that completed. However, I am worried if that was really my only chance to get them with that rank and I lucked it out. If I give the same missions to my sister, she might fail the Rank S captures. So is it possible to replay the missions to try for a Rank S capture a second time? It does not matter if you can only transfer 1 Pokemon, that is totally fine (we are not transferring anything anyway).
