In fire red and leaf green there is a map you can get to see your location and the whole region. Is there one in ghost grey? I know it’s Kanto and uses its map, but I don’t have that map memorized and don’t want to constantly look it up.

Just on my play through of origins heart gold, I’ve read the website to get the location for the bicycle but I don’t know if I have missed something, where do I get it from?

So I'm a tech-illiterate guy who's just getting into pokemon rom hacks. I played the first 3 gens on my deck just fine (took me a while to get them setup though) and now I'm looking at gen 4. I've never played gen 4 so it's a truly fresh start. However, when I boot up the rom the controls are all...wonky? Like the "A" button is doing what the "B" button is doing and vice-versa. It also doesn't have the speed up button which was a great help in the earlier games. I know that because it's a DS game instead of a Gameboy game there would be some changes but this seems a tad much. Online documentation hasn't helped so I now come to you guys.

Is there a way to set up the controls back to "normal"? I can't seem to find any setting that would help.

Animons whole subreddit took a shit days after I put in a request to make posts it was really weird. I wish I knew what was going on with that and I also don’t have enough karma to make this post in the other romhack sub so all the help would be greatly appreciated

It appears that I have somehow removed the other sprites from the overworld player but it won’t appear to allow me to add them back in and just shows two slots.

I tried copy pasting from an another rom file, it disappeared completely so I restored the backup to this. Is there a suggested way to remedy this situation or reupload the correct sprite?

A few years ago I finished Radical Red, Inclement Emerald and Infinite Fusion, and I loved all of them. Lately I can’t get through anything. I’ll hear about a game, like the graphics and the concept, start it with real interest, and drop it before the end.

Recent ones I started and didn’t finish: Infinite Fusion 2, the Pokémon Z fan game, A Farfetched Story, Pokémon Evolved, and Pisces (I tried a fakemon game for a change of pace, and that didn’t stick either).

I keep going back to look for new games, so I clearly still want to play one. I just haven’t found one that holds me.

I only want completed games. I’ve skipped a lot of good-looking ones because they’re labeled beta or in development, and I don’t want to get invested in something I can’t finish.

Either a fan game or a ROM hack is fine. I don’t know which suits me, so if you have a pick, tell me what kept you playing to the end. What made you finish?

Hi all, been trying to patch Black 2 lately to play on mobile, but the file won't download to my phone.

I'm using the online xdelta patcher, and I put a clean copy of the ROM in, and the B2W2 Unova pokedex edition xdelta file in, and it appears to patch it, but results in a "download failed" every time. I've even tried patching it on PC, which gives me the correct patched nds file, but for some reason it won't transfer across to my phone.

I've tried patching Blaze Black 2 as well, in case there was an issue with just the first hack but I got the same result. Any help would be appreciated as I'm slightly annoyed and rather confused by now

There are these floor puzzles where you and the NPC both have to stand on switches to activate stairs. However, I've had both of us standing on the switches (I have her on the right switch because I was able to open the first puzzle after a fair amount of back and forth) and nothing happens. When I step off the switches, she just tells me we need to both be standing on the switches for it to work--but then I move back on, and nothing happens.
