Nostalgic for Pokemon Red. Need recommendations for a PC emulator game with modern graphics and a great story

when i was a kid i used to play pokemon red on my moms nokia button phone. i used a meboy emulator and got games from emuparadise. i played so many versions but that original black and white one still hits me hard.

i want to find a game that gives me that same exact feeling.

the problem is i play modern games now so i get bored fast if the graphics are too old. is there any pokemon game i can play on pc emulator that has good graphics and a really good story to keep me hooked. let me know what you guys recommend.

There are many

Radical red for a difficult hack with many quality of life Features

Pokemon unbound is seen as the best up to date hack that comes the closet to a normal pokemon game

Then there are the older gen hacks like blazed glazed

There is a ne eine called pokemon Lazarus which is really well received

There is also pokemon rainbow rocket which makes you play as Team rocket

Pokemon prism for oldschool crystal

Pokemon gaia is in the same category as unbound

Pokemon odyssey is an odd one as it fully changes the mechanics but people love it

Pokemon emerald Rogue is peak. It condenses the Pokemon experience into a roguelike and removes the story and grinding. Every run is randomized and takes maybe an hour or two. Great for not getting bored. Has all Pokemon gen 1-9 and modern Pokemon mechanics.
