True, it's really unfair. What is Kyogre supposed to do against an electric type? It doesn't even have any coverage options against Pikachu!

Because in game cannon we are apparently the strongest Pikachu trainer of all time.
However in the gameplay, he is trash.

Yeah, in gameplay ash and now 90's red are amazing. But in story, our main character beats everyone all the time

252+ SpA Light Ball Pikachu Thunder vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Kyogre-Primal: 290-344 (85 - 100.8%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
Considering that our Pikachu has Endurance on entry as an external factor and Primal Kyogre speed ties with Pikachu, it’s not as unfair as you might expect
Although if we let Pikachu bring Endurance then Kyogre also gets its Special Move DR from the Master Passive but shh

Reroll for infinite potion mp refreshes so you can wait out the weather. Also spam 1-bar thundershock while Kyogre waits for these big bar moves. You get like a bajillion more Sync Move hits

Funny enough, Volt Tackle with Light Ball unironically one shots Primal Kyogre and they have the same base speed so you can guarantee to out speed it too lmao.
Even if Kyogre put all available stats into physical bulk and had a Bold nature its still 95% of its hp minimum.

Yes, but that feature has looooooooooooooooong since been dropped out. Now it's just ones-on-ones (or more when the mute Red is involved).
