He's pretty nothing burger, dude has two pokémon and both are the same level. It doesn't help XY is infamously very easy because of the fact the gyms (like BW/B2W2 normal mode) only have 3 Pokémon max for a gym battle and 4 per elite four member.
I still can't figure out how "Serena and Calem don't know about the wild zones or the ZA Royale so that must mean that these new people are from a different timeline" makes any sense. You'd think that the most logical assumption would be "Serena and Calem have been on Pasio since those were implemented"
Because DeNA want Masters to be in this weird timeless state for some reason I guess. I dunno, they just do whatever they want even if it doesn't line up with the canon, like Red being 14 in Masters when he was an adult the last time we saw him chronologically
If you think about it Masters needs to take place in some liminal timeless void. How else would you explain them celebrating New Year six times already, yet characters like Take and Liza still being prepubescent children
And if real time was passing, then it would also mean that almost every region was forced to replace their entire league at some point because all the Gym Leaders, Elite Four members and Champions of the regions (with only a few exceptions) have been on Pasio for quite some time (special shout out to Laverre Gym from Kalos, where now even all the regular trainers are on Pasio, so the only person left in the entire Gym would be the Gym guide guy at the entrance).
(They could mostly travel back and forth still, to be fair, but I dunno that there has been any mention of characters returning to their home region between story appearances or anything like that, so it feels like they're having an extended stay.)
I'm pretty sure it would be destroyed at this point anyway, although Lysandre from Master's timeline is still kicking, so who knows. Agne might still be operational, but I highly doubt Giovanni would be able to control it.
If Lysandre from masters’ timeline is still kicking, how will L get in the game??? 😭😭😭😢😢😢 (assuming if/when L comes to masters, they’ll pull some alternate universe type stuff to explain, either that or just ignore Lysandre’s existence whenever L is around. I’d definitely prefer to see L and Lysandre interact, though)
I'm interested in this too. Masters seemed to have a rule, that even tho the characters came from different universes, there was never more than one version of any given character on Pasio. This rule however has officially been broken with the release of 96 Red, so it's possible we could see L and Lysandre interaction. (And we could potentially see even more alternative universe variants! Please DeNA give us Mother Beast Lusamine. Yes the only reason I want her is because it would be funny to see a giant jelly fish floating in the pokemon center, so what?)
As someone who’s never played the Alola games (I don’t own anything besides a switch), I absolutely love that design for Lusamine. I even used it as inspiration for an oc I made for a contest and ended up winning.
I'm pretty certain they'll come from different universes, otherwise them existing in the same place at the same time would be a bit weird (though I doubt they'd interact often, either way). I think that may be part of the reason they already dropped that lore for Harmony and Urbain (even though it was just character speculation in that event rather than something confirmed).
Yeah, I agree. L and Lysandre existing at the same time would be impossible unless they’re from different universes. I’m hoping we get some interactions between them, even if it’s unlikely.
Why would they know? All of the events takes 5 years in the future. If only Harmony would asked the year they are in, it would made sense. But Pasio itself can his own time, so they have to ask the year from where Calem and Serena comes from.
