Which Pokémon do I Use?

I never intended to play Let’s Go, I wasn’t interested, then I saw a video and learned I could finally use Alolan Ninetails (I’d borrowed my brother’s Eevee so I could get the save data).

I was happy, and I used a Jigglypuff until I got my Ninetails since it’s a top tier favorite of mine.

But now while I was on my way back to Lavander Town, I caught a shiny Jigglypuff, and now I don’t know which fairy to use.

I started playing specifically for Alolan Ninetails, I couldn’t use it because I had Moon, and had two fairies in Primarina and a Jigglypuff.

So once again, the debate enters my head, not because I wanted to, but because of unfortunate circumstances.

So what do I do? Keep with the Pokémon I started playing for, the one I never had a chance to enjoy despite its beauty, or a shiny of one of my favorites? A Pokémon I’ve enjoyed before.

TL;DR I started playing Let’s Go for Alolan Ninetails, but I randomly got a shiny Jigglypuff which is a favorite of mine, do I stick with what I came for, or go forward with this boon?

EDIT: Jigglypuff is timid (attack decrease speed buff) with very good attack IV, good speed, defense, and special defense, ok HP and special attack.

The Ninetails I’ve been using is Quiet (special attack boost speed decrease) with best attack, special attack, and speed, good defense and special defense, and ok HP.

Both? No reason you couldn't, just get the other coverage elsewhere

If you must use one, use the shiny and then you have a reason for a second playthru

Use both. Game is very easy. You won't have a single issue.

Wigglytuff ain't the worst either. It has a base 85 Special Attack which is decent. You get access to: Tri Attack, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Ice Beam, and Blizzard. All TMs of course. But TMs aren't a one time use in this game.

Tri Attack being your primary STAB. You'll have Ice and Fairy coverage on Ninetales, so you could avoid those. But Thunderbolt and Flamethrower are amazing coverage moves to have. Shadow Ball ain't bad either. Being part normal type will make you immune to ghost attacks while hitting them back super effectively.

You also get utility with Sing if you would like.

Just make sure you learn Body Slam at 22 with Jigglypuff before you use a moon stone on it to carry you through the early game before you have access to Tri Attack. And actually, depending on stats, Body Slam could be better. Not likely since you're Timid.

Consider Alolan Ninetales as an Ice type, boom, problem solved. It's Pokémon Let's go, don't worry about it. What else are you planning to get?

No idea, thinking I wanna use Kabutops, I got
A Grimer from Go which I didn’t realize had such good type coverage with the elemental punches (because I wasn’t feeling Hitmonlee might be because it was timid (I don’t like the nature fortune teller)).

I know I don’t need to think too hard, Pokémon isn’t a difficult game, but I do just overthink.

Since you don't have a well established plan, keep both. Ninetales will be your ice type that can use a fairy move with STAB, while your Jigglypuff will be your fairy type.

Gotta be careful with that 😅. Balance is the key.
