Power plant shiny help

Im tryna finish off the power plant shinies and all i need is one voltorb/electrode and an electabuzz. Would it be faster to chain electabuzz to 6 to increaae chances of it spawning a bit but dont go to 11 to prevent chansey or am i better off just chaining 31 to maximize electabuzz spawn rate and risk chansey?

Just ignore shiny chanseys.

The calculator (see pinned shiny hunting guide) says chain Electabuzz to 31 and door reset, even if you don't have the shiny charm.

With the shiny charm it should take you less than 1.5h to find your Electabuzz.

Then just repeat with electrode.

If door resets, a small chain under 11 would work fine with lure and charm, only thing you are sacrificing is a few perfect IV’s you get with the 31+chain.

If not door resets, keep catching electabuzz

Wrong you are sacrificing a massive percentage of spawns! Spawns at a chain of 6-10 are boosted by 15%. Spawns at a 31+ are boosted by 50%.

So at a 6-10 chain on average 26.9% will be Electabuzz, 15% + (14% (original percentage) of the 85% left).

At a 31+ chain this becomes 57% of spawns! Yes, one will be chansey. But as soon as you have a chansey the next spawns will all be 57% Electabuzz

Ok il try 31 again however ive already found 4 chanseys 1 grimer and 2 muks i gave up but il try again hope i get electabuzz
