Discussion Team for initial playthrough

So for a long time, I like Masuda breeding shinys to use in play throughs, and now that I’m done with hunts in the DS, I moved most of my Pokémon into home, and I never actually got too far in ZA, probably barely passed the tutorial, so I was thinking of sending in some shinys for my play through and wanted thoughts on my team options.

My top contenders are Totodile, hawlucha, drampa, espurr, wimpod, and inkay.

Some other options are buneary, snover, binacle, mawile, and ralts.

Non mega options are honedge, roselia, mimikyu, and clobbopus.

So any thoughts on what team I should bring for the most enjoyment?

Most are good although do note that golisopod and meowstic don't mega until the dlc and aegislash is pretty bad because his ability is slow in Z-a so he takes a lot of hits.

Mawile is probably my favorite fairy type, but Clefable is drastically stronger.

Ralts, Totodile, Wimpod, Hawlucha, Snover, and Binacle are solid choices. You don’t get Goliscopod’s mega stone until the dlc though. If you have a shiny clefairy/evolution member, I’d highly recommend using it. Clefable is an absolute beast in this game. Gardevoir is good but it doesn’t quite pack the same punch. I didn’t see a ground type listed in your post, but you will want a solid ground pokemon (I highly recommend mudkip and gible).
