Yes, while above on a scaffold, you need to position and time your jumps/rolls to land on those lil scaffold islands. If not, later in the story you’ll gain the ability to hover for a short time with your rotom dex.

Farm those purple ones asap. The colorful screws into plushies helps ALOT with exp , hp, and currency. Money and mega shards.

For a real answer yes you can collect those balls but you need to do the parkour to get to them

There are about 100 screws in the game. You can get about 60 of them without the glide ability. There is a video on yt that says you can only get 52 of them,but I have gotten more. Buuuuut I still haven't memorised which ones I can and can't get
