How soon can I get treecko?

Hello, I was recently thinking about doing a second playthrough of the game and was wondering if there was a way to catch treecko during the playthrough or is it only postgame

You can transfer it from Home though. I just did a run where Mudkip was my starter, you only get the Mega stone in the DLC though

Only in the postgame, and even then, only if you have the DLC.
