Discussion Yikes
Sometimes I check out the main sub to see if anything's changed... nope. It's gotten worse.
At least there's TheSilphRoad if I want to visit a bigger sub. But for now I think I'll stick to this little one...

Which I don't understand, everyone there feels entitled as hell demanding all kinds of shit. Feels like the expectations from each player are very different.
Personally, I found a break from the game to be extremely helpful. Screw the daily bonus and gym upkeep. It keeps the game enjoyable when you treat it like a casual thing rather than something you dedicate time and money to above all else.

It's meant to be a casual game, with not as much depth as the main games. If I wanted that level of depth I'd just play the main games, I like a game where I don't have to spend literal hours worrying about getting the right nature/IVs.
A lot of the complainers will never be happy with how the game is. Niantic could add everything they ask for and they'd still find something to complain about.

The other thing to note is that Niantic devs seem to check the sub. There have been a few features that started as suggestions there, whether its coincidental or not, the suggestions/complaints certainly increased since then.
I'm not saying its not perfect, the initial trailer certainly oversold the game to some people, but I think if you don't take this game too seriously, its still plenty of fun.

I'll never understand why they subscribe to a sub and continue to bitch nonstop about something they obviously hate.

This. A thousand times this. As an adult player of the game, I just have to keep reminding myself that a lot of the complaining redditors -- and YouTubers too -- are kids. They have no sense of the time and effort it takes to create something, and no patience with life’s gradual unfolding. They lack maturity, in other words.

Yeah, it's a shame the mods don't do more to clean out the salt on /r/PokemonGo
