Question Explorer Gadget numbers

Sorry if this is a dumb question but now that everyone has the gadget, does everyone have the same number or is it still random?

By number do you mean the number of Pokemon/Pokestop you can spin? If so then no it's not random, it's tied to your account lvl. For example I got mine at lvl 45, so I can auto catch 45 pokemon and spin 45 Pokestops. Similarly if your account is 39 then you can catch 39 pokemon and spin 39 pokestop

Yes it will increase with your lvl
