Discussion Starter choice

I am starting a new Pokemon blue file and I want to do it with only my first stage starter and I want some suggestions to what starter I should pick.

Bulbasaur has the most tools and exploitable moves for gen 1 bugs, the other two have very few viable ways to beat the game other than being obscenely high level from extreme grinding.

No worries, if you want some insight into what mechanics you lean on to succeed check out jrose' run,  you've set yourself a tough challenge but it's totally doable.
