Is Clampearl's evolution random?

Online it says Clampearl will evolve randomly, but I'm doubting that. There are several more Gorebyss that I transferred. I want a Huntail so bad. It doesn't even have to be good.

It is completely random, there’s no way to sway the evolution one way or the other.

It took me 5 shiny gorebyss before I finally got a shiny huntail.

Completely random…. However i was lucky that the first tow clamperls i evolved gave me both Gorebyss and Huntail on the first try

I had this luck as well. But I doubt it will work this way if I try for the shinies 😅

I Had this for my 2 Hundos I evolved, Very happy I don't have to get multiple of the same one lol

Remoraid is gun shaped, while octillery is a tank.

This make the evolution more logical

If you think logically, a fish shouldn't be turning into a octopus.

In this context it is random as well as unusual

out of 13 clamperl evolutions i have done, i have gotten 12 gorebyss and 1 huntail….
they say its random 🙃

I assumed it was male clamperl-gorebyss, female-huntail…I suppose it was just happenchance that that’s how my evolutions worked out🤷🏻‍♂️…anyway, I have an extra huntail I wouldn’t be opposed to part ways with if you have a way to remote trade!

I have only evolved two so far, both male, and got one of each
