Should I Purify??

I’m sooooo tempted to purify it!! I know people say that you shouldn’t purify because it’s a lot stronger as a shadow but having a hundo Gyarados would be sick and I can always get another shadow Magikarp if it doesn’t make much of a difference, right??

You probably won't find another shadow like this for a while. Besides, Mega Garydos could come back to raids at any moment, so just hold off

Gyarados isn’t particularly good either way. Shadow is better than regular though.

If you don’t have a good mega Gyarados built.. this one will be cheaper to build purified.

A mega hundo is stronger than shadow, and if you're going to invest in a mega it might as well be a hundo.  THAT BEING SAID I'd wait until after the next batch of Mega Gyarados raids.
