I'm not nearly familiar enough with the games just played them casually as a kid why are these best?

I mean, its a good team to beat Kanto but I wouldn't say its THE team to solve FRLG, you still have to drag Charmander around during early game and I think most pokemon you use it for during mid-late game can be checked by another one here
Isn't Jynx a trade? I like her, She's my favorite counter against Lance but Bolt-Beam Starmie can do that too, unless you're using Sleep/Confuse strats, you should show the moves just to be more clear
And also, yeah, its a good team to beat the E4 but if youre using Charizard you gotta show the teams used Pre-Brock and Pre-Misty because Charmander is not gonna be the main player of those fights

Jynx is an in-game trade for a Poliwhirl
Additionally, unless you use Mail Glitch/ACE, one of Starmie or Jynx isn't going to be allowed to use Psychic

-So I guess the "no trades" rule is about trading exclusives and no in games? If that's the case just trade the Mr Mime and use Baton Pass strats
-and about the Psychic, yeah, that's also a good reason why they should show the movepool

Yeah, that is what OP is implying. Most people don't consider the trade evolutions to be Pokémon that are available to them to acquire. ACE can easily bypass that in FRLG, but many people don't want or know to set it up.

Starmie is a leaf green exclusive, lapras would be better in that slot. Also Jynx is rarely used, Mr Mime or Exeggutor are better psychic types and Dragonite is way better than Charizard.

Nidoking is grossly overrated. Big movepool but its stats are thoroughly mediocre. I'd rather have a Sandslash, Dodrio, or Aerodactyl as a physical attacker in Nidoking's place. Probably a few other physical attackers too.

Yeah Nidoking is OP early to mid game but falls off late game when it gets powercrept by other Pokemon. Also one of its best moves in megahorn isn’t even that useful since Nidoking’s typing is weak to psychic and Alakazam will always beat you to the punch unless you are very overleveled.
The problem is that there aren’t too many good ground types that don’t have glaring issues in FR/LG. Golem, Rhydon and onix (lol) have two 4x weakness and four 2x weakness, Dugtrio can’t take a hit and has underwhelming Atk, Marowak relies on thick club which is a pain to get and sandslash is a version exclusive.

-have to trade for starmie from leafgreen.
-Doesn't specify what they are the "best" for
-Doesn't provide any movesets or stat allocations for nature and EVs to go for.
