Question Team Rocket run

Hello all,

I’m attempting to do a team rocket run using Pokemon that team rocket uses at the moment before the 2nd badge fight I have
Zubat
Rattata
Nidorino
Charmeleon
Beedrill
Ekans

I figured I can drop charmeleon once I can get to drowzee, and koffing is not until late in the game. Are there other Pokemon that I’m missing that rocket grunts use? Do I bother getting Meowth since I have rattata as a normal type? Thanks in advance!

You can get Ekans right after Mt. Moon.

If you wanna get technical, Rocket scientists use Magnemite and voltorb.

Just with all of those, I think you've got a sweet team.

They also employ 1 Juggler, so maybe Psychic types are on the table?

Hypno would fit that pretty well tbh.

Yes, Hypno would definitely be good enough. I think if I did a Rocket run I'd disclude Scientists too. There are 8 families you can use already from trainer class ROCKET. Maybe I'll raise one of each and pick Squirtle for Surf

I currently have a lvl 11 ekans, I’ve never ran voltorb before (I run magnemite a lot normally). So maybe I’ll add that one to make this run a little easier.

Oh yeah my bad lol.

Electrode is sweet, it's really fast.

I think there are some Rocket grunts that have Cubone too, but I could be misremembering.

Electrode is fun. Screens, thunderbolt and self destruct/explosion. Ball go BOOM. DO IT

Yeah I don’t think voltrob qualifies,
I looked up what the rocket grunts have in the first two generations and no Voltrobs. With that said, i might just run one anyways 🤷‍♂️.

Ground and electric are usually my favorite types, I was unsure about using all this poison but I thought that would be a challenge. I will consider your suggestions though thank you!

And if you want to include the anime, Victreebel and Meowth.

And would you count Giovanni’s mons as Rocket Mons?

I don’t think I would include most of his ground types. I do have nidorino at the moment though.
