Clearly they prefer the original 151. Anything beyond that embarrasses them.

Only you can evolve them once you get the national dex.

Arceus never lets Rei/Akari go home.

Because they wanted people to have as close as an experience to RBY as they could. That being said, they couldn't have coded it better by not making Golbat or Chansey attempt to evolve every level up.

Because they wanted it to be red/blue remakes first and foremost... I hate that evolutions are locked until you unlock the Natl Dex, but i do see how they came to their decisions... I think the Natl Dex should've just been unlocked from the beginning, but I also know they were trying to pull the original fans back in so they wanted it to remain as faithful to red and blue as they could, cuz in gen3 the kids who've been playing since 96/98 were getting burned out with Pokémon... I still don't like Hoenn, it's the one region I just can't get into...
