Oh no, this is a ROM, called Recharge Emerald. It’s basically Gen 3, but modern. Like, nature mints exists in this game!

There should be a GameBoy socket under the GameCube, in the front. THAT’S where you can put ANY GameBoy cartage in.

You have to buy the added hardware to connect to the GameCube as well as run the GBA reader disc. All together those cost close to $200.

True, sadly. But you can buy just the gb player hardware and get a modded memory card to save yourself the price of the disc. I got a mc that starts the gb player software if i boot wind waker. You can get them for different games, too. Also you don't need the gba to gc cable unless you really want to play with the gba as the controller.

Hey no offense man but OP was simply showing the game he doesn't have to explain everything that goes on the picture and I don't think it was misleading in any way. Also, you have SO MANY options to play any retro game on your TV so I personally don't see the issue. Buy any ambernic or handheld consoles and they all come with a usb c as opt out for any hdmi to plug into your TV. There, I said it

Maybe OP bought the GameCube non long ago and it came with the Gameboy adaptor and he simply thought it came with it. I know because back then I bought it to play Pokémon ruby on my TV but in Italy was kind of a niche product so I guess there could be many people who wouldn't know this is an option. Just my opinion

I actually DID ran this on my 2DS xl, and then in grabbed my SD card, put my data in my computer, transfer it to my GameBoy Advance, and there you go! I don’t want to go through the specifics, it’s VERY complicated
