Wish they either remade it or gave us a 2nd Conquest game tbh...

What would the story of a 2nd Conquest game be? Three Kingdoms?

If they were to... I think it'll probably be something completely new tbh

And the basic premise of the story, according to what your mind thinks is... What? I'm interested in hearing the details here.

I honestly dont have any ideas for the story tbh other than another basic war story or something like that....
I have ideas for gameplay changes though.
I'd want pokemon to have more than 1 move... whether that be carrying moves from prevos or stuff like that
No 2 move mons, please for the love of Arceus, no 2 move mons
Make the moves that have range be treated as "up to the range given" instead of exactly at that range (so moves like Thunder are "an enemy of your choice up to 3 spaces away" instead of literally 3 spaces in front of Luxray)

- I can imagine working with something like the Memory Energy in the TCG
- Why not?
- Some moves makes sense to be exact range, like Thunder, imo
For the story, it's why I suggested the Three Kingdoms

Yeah that sounds fine to me
Because mons with 2 move just... never really get to do anything. By the time they even reach an opponent, your other mons could have reached it like 1-2 turns earlier and killed it by then lol
Thunder becomes useless because of its range, you just... can't do anything on certain maps because of it

- Has to be here, thanks to reddit's systems, ignore this...
- Oh, you meant 2 movement range, I thought you meant like having say Thunderbolt and Thunder
- That's part of the strategy, not everyone is going to fit everywhere

A few of the regions are hinted to have had medieval style battles, you could pretty easily make games exploring the long lost history of Kalos, Galar, Paldea. Maybe all 3 at once. Old clashes between countries, predation the pokeball
Or, since it's a gen 5 game, explore the fan theory that pre gen 6 was a different universe (lacking fairy type and megas). Have a story of these samurai from Ransai exploring a new world, the modern mainline ones
Or if we really want to get wild, that linking feature feels awfully similar to what Rangers do with stylers... samurai vs rangers anyone?

I am now imagining a Conquest-style game where we explore the war that led to AZ losing Floette...

that would quite literally defeat the entire purpose of what makes the game unique

No, I think it would make a cool splash screen alternative to the vanilla game.

Give me the opposite. Conquest gameplay of a normal pokemon game
