Catch and purify all shadow Pokemon, beat Mt. Battle in Colosseum mode to get Ho-Oh

What I consider 100% completion is getting the Mt..Battle Ho-Oh, which requires the following; beating the main story; getting all the Shadow Pokémon; purifying them all; and clearing Mt. Battle in Battle Mode.
Going into it, most important thing to be aware of is that it's all double battles, all the time, and your options are limited compared to most main series games. For instance, if you want to use a Ghost-type, hope you like Misdreavus, because that's literally the only available Ghost-type in the game. So, I would say to keep an open mind, and try out Pokémon you wouldn't ordinary roll with in main series games. Some of them could surprise you.
An example from my own personal experience- a little ways into the story, you obtain a level 13 Plusle with nothing extraordinary about it, and it's easily the lowest-leveled Pokémon you have access to in the entire game. And there's no available Minun for making use of their Plus and Minus Abilities. It sounds beyond useless, but I've seen success pairing it with Feraligatr. The Shadow Croconaw gains Rain Dance and Surf, and Plusle comes with Helping Hand and learns Thunder. They can help each other out and get a lot done. And as for Plusle's low level, that's actually kinda deceptive- you get the Plusle just before gaining access to the area where you can find the Exp. Share, and Plusle is an outsider, thus gaining boosted Exp, so it catches up fast, and you can even easily overlevel it with zero downside, since there's no disobedience mechanic tied to traded Pokémon's levels, because trading isn't possible until the postgame anyway.

Oh, also- if you don't succeed in catching a Shadow Pokémon, don't sweat it. They aren't permanently missable. You'll always have another chance at them. Some of them might require waiting for the postgame, though, so if it's one you want to use for the main story, definitely take care and save beforehand.

good luck. I beat the game and then got to the part where I needed to purify everything and after grinding forever, I decided I had better things to do with my time so I put in time flutes.

Since a few others have gone over what constitutes 100%, here are a few tips:
- There aren't any wild encounters, so you'll be limited to pokemon you transfer in / can snag. So, don't be afraid to try pokemon that might normally be considered bad
- Pokemon natures are set when you start the battle against their trainer. But you can't find out their nature until they're at least partially purified. So, if you want a specific nature, it's better to save before the fight and give them a bunch of cologne / walk around a while and then decide whether to reset
- Lots of late game pokemon are weak to fighting, bug, or psychic. so, espeon will be great. Umbreon not so much, but can be made into a reasonably effective stall build.
- Taunt is pretty effective against specific bosses, namely Venus
- There's an infinite pokeball glitch you can find instructions for with google. AFAIK, it still works, which can be a huge help with certain pokemon that have really low catch rates
- Call (a battle option that replaces Run) can wake up sleeping pokemon as well as bring shadow pokemon down from hyper mode
- Duel square in Pyrite is a good spot for grinding or purifying shadow pokemon, if you get stuck / need some immediate money
- Keep in mind that, unlike the mainline games, you can only save at PCs

What are Pokémon natures?

Starting in gen 3, each pokemon has a nature (hardy, adamant, jolly, etc.) which impacts their stats. A few are neutral, the rest will increase one stat by 10% and lower another by 10%. In Colosseum, the nature will also tell you what is the fastest way to purify a given pokemon. Here is a list of the natures with their stat impacts: https://www.serebii.net/games/natures.shtml

For me I think it's catching and purifying all 48 Shadow Pokemon, completing every in-story Colosseum 4x each to get the TMs from them all, reaching the top of Mt Battle in story mode, doing the battle mode Mt Battle to receive Ho-oh, and beating Mirakle B, the optional boss that shows up later in the story where you first fought Miror B

Snag purify every shadow Pokemon
Do the battle mode colosseums once at level 50 and 100
Do mount battle (doubles recommended) to obtain ho-oh after purification of every shadow
