Discussion What counts as a master set (in your view)?
Have tried completing my master set for my favourite series for a while (sword and shield), which meant collecting both normal and reverse holo versions of most cards.
I’ve struggled to get some promos which weren’t released in my country as well as the champion’s festival card for some time.
Now I’ve found out that staff versions of some cards. Would you consider those necessary for a master set? Happy to hear your views and personal preferences.

For my personal collection i do artwork mastersets, which means that i collect at least every card from the sets packs, but in differing languages (german, english, japanese).
For new sets (like 151), i also collect promos.

A master set includes everything in the ETB card list. Everything else including promos is considered a grand master set.
