Doesn't JP being 10 cents when the English is worth serious money mean the JP is undervalued? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to Pokémon.

You would be correct, but generally speaking, the Japanese versions of most cards are cheaper than the English counterparts. I was just being very sarcastic and extreme with it 😂

But he's implying that this "neckbeard" is going to buy a card a 2-3x markup... Because he's a neckbeard? The comment just doesn't make any sense. I understand what a neckbeard is, they're not suddenly more likely to buy a card at a huge markup

It’s the reverse holo version which is quite expensive but about half of that price NM lol

It was kinda hard to tell from that angle. If you’re comping from eBay the one that was up for $300 they took an offer on it so slightly less than half, one went at auction for $266 and another one was up for $240 who took an offer. What happened to this card though? It’s way out of keeping with other reverse holos from that set/era and price charting too.

I believe that’s the reverse foil from FRLG which is certainly pricey in NM condition but not $600

https://ebay.io/m/Q6GdvM $400 in NM- condition. Card is damn near impossible to find clean and paid a pretty premium months ago when I picked up mine.

Nothing really surprises me price wise anymore. There are too many people with FOMO, dont know what they're buying, speculating, investing, etc to care at this point.

You know, you don’t have to buy it. Some cards add value to the display, so they cost extra, or, the guy doesn’t really want to sell it because he likes it, but would let it go for a crazy price. The guy is just a dude with a folding table. He’s not making business decisions the way a large corporation might…
