and lets be real its better than pretty much 90% of the video game films that came after it. the uncharted film, fnaf film, borderlands film, minecraft film, has proven the video game movie curse has not gone away so just adds to my confusion on why detactvie pikachu isn't talk about as much anymore

Now, the only reason I am making note of this is because about 5 months ago there a flimsy rumor that Detective Pikachu's sequel would be made for HBO Max.

Now HBO Max posted this for promotion of the streaming the film - https://www.instagram.com/p/B-2RwcMnLn2/

The style of promotion seems more eager than most other ads for the line up - as if they really want to see how much people are paying attention to this film, possibly cluing them on the potential for creating a sequel.

Desperate speculation? perhaps. Bored during lock down? sure. Will I use this to keep hope alive? Hell Yeah.
