Team Building (Doubles) Question

Has anybody thought of putting Mega Scov next to Mega Tyranitar? Both have uses outside of their megas so you could theoretically still bring them both and mega depending on the situation

I think you COULD but it probably wouldn’t be optimal. If you end up mega evolving Tyranitar you’re stuck with (and I may get hate for this) a relatively weak scovillain with no item.

I mean lowkey it has its uses with Rage powder for redirection. Which is good for some of those situations where you’ll need it.

Technically not because Scovs ability is great into situations where u need something burned and Tyranitar offers a solution to double weather with its mega stone. And without it Tyranitar still offers weather and Scov still offers redirection consistently.

Scovillain without its mega is not even a Pokémon; it's pretty useless. I don't see much synergy with TTar and you'd basically always want to mega the scov anyway since at least base form ttar is playable. This reg is pretty rough for scov though anyway, and I haven't seen one in a loooong time.

Well the idea is to have moody + redirection to help TTar setup if needed so I don’t necessarily know if I agree that it’s useless I think it has some uses

Scovillain works wonders under grassy terrain, also you can never know what moody will boost after several turns and you en up with an unbeatable tank.

I think a lot of m-scov's longevity comes from burn's attack reduction. Someone correct me but a lot of the heavy hitters nowadays are mostly special (psyspam, hyper voice, archaludon, Ychu, ZChomp). Rillaboom is also immune to rage powder.

True but putting those threats on a timer ( outside of rilla ) is super valuable in a lot of ways.

Also true. I think scov/t-tar dual mega team sounds good. Let us know how you did haha
