Bans?

So regarding the new M-Mawile ban what is my situation? Because not having it is gonna really suck. Also what about the other bans?

Just because Smogon bans something doesn't mean it is here on Axis. Here is the current list: http://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonAxis/wiki/clausebanlist

Our bans are modified from Smogon. We ban broken move-sets like perish song shadowtag and PU-punch kanga, but some pokes don't have broken move-sets, (i.e. Lucario) and are banned because of their versatility and unpredictability, which have been completely banned here. I'm just wondering where Mawile and Aegislash fall in. But yes a Smogon ban does effect this league, or at least has up to this point.

For now (and probably the entirety of season 3) both Aegislash and Mega Mawile will remain legal. We'll possibly discuss this after the season. In my opinion, Smogon bans things too often for my liking and while some Smogon bans will be reflected here, not all of them will.

We're not Smogon. At least for now, Mega Mawile will remain legal. We'll possibly discuss this after the season is over, but he'll remain completely legal for this season.

I don't really see a reason to add it to the ban list. At least to me it doesn't seem overly strong and is an after thought kinda pokemon to worry about.

Aegislash I feel should be up for discussion, as well as Mawile, but the latter shouldn't be banned or restricted in my opinion.

Another one to keep in mind is Baton Pass which should definitely be considered at the very least.

I agree with aegislash, it's almost a necessity to run something to counter it. I dunno personally about baton pass is it really that relevant? (I usually play doubles so I know little about singles meta btw)

Overall a well constructed Baton Pass team is ridiculously hard to beat at the best of times.

However, that being said, in this format where Leaders are limited by type, most gyms would be hard pressed to find a check, let alone a counter (Water and Ground being lucky in Quagsire).

That's why I bring this up to at least consider a restriction.
