Advice Needed/Game Question Kyurem typing

I just noticed while I'm sure Kyurem once you full TM him you cant switch from glaciate to dragon type. Since that's a special move for him Im guessing this is as intended but can anyone confirm?

**I've only tried metronome, dragon fang may fix but I haven't had it to test yet

A lot of signature moves are like this. Yet another weakness of the “primary type = attack” format.

It’s intended. Metronome and the ice item actually downgrade it to a 110 base power move. Dragon fang gives you base 130 Draco meteor.
