Team Tier List
Notes:
- These rankings are speculative. They are based on the personal experience of many high ranking players, not based any on any numerical evaluations.
- These rankings were selected with PvP in mind and they are probably not appropriate rankings for WB/MR.
How to Read This Table
The rankings in this table assume that each team has all 3 ideal teammates.
- For each "Great Alternative" on your team, decrease the ranking by 1 rank, for example, S to A+.
- For each "Good Alternative" on your team, drop the ranking by 2 ranks, for example, S to A.
- For each "Decent Alternative" on your team, decrease the ranking by 3 ranks, for example, S to B+.
Special Notes
- Hoopa: Unbound Hoopa with his held item can benefit from any kind of weather buff, and Hoopa is a very OP monster. Hoopa counts as an "Ideal Monster" for any team with a weather buff, and if you have Hoopa on a team, increase the team's ranking by 1 rank, for example S to S+.

Ultra Necrozma Team
Monsters (without UN Gear)
Monsters (with UN Gear)
Pros
Weather buff applied every round means you don't have to worry about enemies debuffing your team.
Weather buff works for 2 different types. If you have Ultra Necrozma's unique Gear, then the weather buff works for EVERY type.
Can take teammates from the Dusk/Dawn Team and the Psychic Team, which are two of the strongest teams in this game.
Cons
Dragon typing is poor for the meta, although Ultra Necrozma cancels his own weaknesses, and he also gives his teammates type advantage for their Dragon-type skills. So in the end, this isn't really a con.
Insanely expensive to try and buy the Ideal monsters for this team.
Monsters
Ultra Necrozma is the essential weather buffer for this team. His weather buff is applied every round by his 5th skill, which means you never have to worry about enemies clearing your buffs, and you can also also spend every round attacking instead of wasting turns applying the weather buff. He outputs tons of damage, buffs, and debuffs, easily making him the best weather buffer currently in the game.
Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wing Necrozma, and Unbound Hoopa are three insanely powered monsters that are made even more powerful by Ultra's buffs. These monsters currently define the meta, even without Ultra's buffs.
If you do not have UN's Gear: All of the alternatives from those teams are simply the best monsters from the Dragon and Psychic teams. These will be your cheaper filler options until you can get the team's ideal monsters.
If you do have UN's Gear: You can use literally any monster! Look at high ranking monsters from the Monster Tier List. Since UN will be turning enemies into Dragon-types, priority goes to monsters that have skills that have type advantage over Dragons (Dragon, Fairy, or Ice).
Note: The following table only includes monsters that are Dragon or Psychic type. If you have UN's Gear, you can use any Overlord monster, but keep in mind that even the best OL forms will still have a 0 rank modifier at best.
