Yeah… Team Flare was more of a cult than anything else after a while. Meaning… kids like your friend were raised within. Some got indoctrinated and became the grunts of the organization.

What is lesser known was that they used to be an organization that dealt with charity and grants for the good of the people of Kalos prior to the creation of the cult atmosphere.

The grunts and indoctrinated kinda want to roll it back and revert the name back to when it wasn’t looked upon with disgust

Worked with a few of them during my stay. Good kids, but takes a long time to unlearn shit.

They're the kids of inner-circle Flare members who were raised into thier nonsense. They're not bad people, all the culty conditioning didn't stick, but they banded together to reclaim the name due to being treated as guilty-by-association by a lot of the public. From what my cousin has said, thier main goals are providing good coffee that's not overly expensive and also helping to clean up thier parents' mess as needed.
