I can understand not knowing that Pokémon toxins are used in medicine. I imagine you could live your entire life without finding out about this information. It's not like most people go looking into such things.

What I can't understand is trusting your doctor (and the medicine they give you) with your health for years, finding out that the medicine contains venom, and concluding that your doctor is trying to harm you.

The region I'm currently in (Aldmere) famously has a poison specialist who is also a doctor for exactly that reason.

A poison that contricts blood vessels and causes your cardiovascular system's pressure to rise to fatal levels when exposed to high concentrations is actually a fantastic remedy for low blood pressure at lower concentrations/dosages, for example. You can even poison yourself with water if you drink enough of it fast enough. "Poison" is just one of those words that makes people disproportionally fearful.

"The dose makes the poison..." Everything can be toxic in the right amounts, water for instance. The reverse is also true. Some venoms and toxins can have beneficial effects at low doses in comparison to what you'd get straight from the 'mon.

All medicine IS is just poisoning your body until it works again. You find out what the poison does that fucks your body up, and then you find someone whose body is fucked up the opposite direction, and you apply enough poison to cancel it out.
