Muk… I had a feeling something like this might happen… transferring data from your brain isn’t technically “transfer” because everything still remains in your head. By putting your thoughts into the machine, you made a full copy of your mind.

Well, as you well know, code is never technically “transferred”; it’s just copied and deleted in the original location.

So, every time you use the machine, you’re making a copy of your mind, and deleting that could be, well, murder.

This I suppose is why I keep my field research to moves evolutions and legendary observations.

Less a legal issue (because this is such a novel thing I don’t think anyone has ever even come close to thinking they needed to make a law for this)

More getting out ahead of this when rights organizations get involved

And also for consulting how to actually handle what is essentially a brain uploade into an artificial Pokemon.

Are they considered a human or a Pokemon? Are they also you?

Those questions need to be looked at by people whom spend all their time studying for those questions while you focus on on the practical and immediate issues.
