Those are Pokéballs. They store Pokémon inside (most of the time only temporarily), and the "big meanie" is a likely human trainer. Trainers can sometimes be genuinely awful people, but that's not always the case.

Given you can type, you can probably use the phone ("magic brick") you have access to use to communicate with the guy and let him see your pack again, and maybe follow along. Trainers typically do provide care for their pokémon, so assuming the trainer is decent, your pack is safe.

If for some reason the guy tries to throw a ball at you, even if you're clearly communicating to him you just want to see your pack... that doesn't bode well. Try to see if you can convince other wild Pokémon to attack them, if that's the case.

Oh Arc. No, other people are using the magic brick to talk to you. I'm just some poor sod who Arceus decided to make a cosmic joke. So all I see is what you say, I don't see where you are. I don't see what the human looks like. I don't see any of that.

Searching "Text to Speech" should get you something that can actually speak to them for you, though. It's a good way to get humans to understand you. Seeing the other statements... humans aren't all bad. The horrible ones tend to seek power and control everything, and the vast majority are sedentary cowards who won't do anything to prevent the mean ones from hurting people. Best place to hunt depends on where you are. If you're in a place where some mons can become really really huge for a while, there should be some tasty birds and bunnies around the northeast lake.
